10 Principles That Played a Key Role in Changing My Life
Man is your reality, you will implement it, you will succeed.
If you understand and start practicing these 10 principles, there’s a strong possibility you’ll experience significant benefits.
Wake up early before Fajr and establish a routine of prayer, Quran recitation, and remembrance (Dhikr).
Set a clear purpose in life. Vague people can never succeed. Think about and identify what value you are adding to this world of 8 billion people. How can you make yourself more useful? What problems of others can you solve? Don’t be a problem; be the solution.
Surround yourself with good and intelligent people, both online and offline. The type of people you associate with, follow, read, and listen to will shape your mindset and behavior. Choose people wisely.
Use mobile phones and social media only when necessary and in a positive way. Unfollow all non-productive profiles, pages, groups, etc. They are major distractions.
Develop a habit of writing. Write down your thoughts, ideas, tasks, daily reflections, and keep them in one place. Keep your mind clear and focused on productive matters.
Seek advice from a neutral, wise, and trustworthy person in important matters. Remember, advice should always be sought from a person of sound judgment. Don’t seek advice randomly from just anyone, especially not on social media. The better someone knows you, the better advice they can offer.
The most important task is self-improvement, so continually strive to improve yourself. Always try to keep learning. Invest the most in your mind and thoughts.
Remember that circumstances never remain the same. No matter how difficult things seem, hopelessness and despair are not befitting of a Muslim. Stay away from people who harbor negative thoughts.
Complete your tasks fully. Those who work half-heartedly or without enthusiasm do not receive Allah’s help, nor are they valued in the world. Sadly, we desire excellence in everything, yet show little interest in improving ourselves. Most of us just want to get by, but expect success. How can you achieve an A-grade result by doing C or D-grade work? If you don’t know how, learn.
Lastly, have complete trust in Allah, but remember that Allah’s help is with those who first do their part with full dedication, honesty, and sincerity. You have to do your work; no one else will do it for you. Keep your expectations from others to a minimum. Do your best and trust in Allah.
Remember! This life is not a dress rehearsal; it’s the real thing, and the next life depends on it. So, don’t waste it.
